Need to renew your tag, register a new vehicle, or update your registration after moving to Mississippi? We’re here to help make the process simple and efficient. Use the links below to jump to the section that applies to you:

Note: If you have a Lee County garbage bill, it must be paid in full before a tag can be issued.

Renewing Your Tag

If your tag expires this month or within 15 days into the next month, you can renew online:

Register a New Vehicle

From a Mississippi Dealer:

Please provide:

  • Title application from the dealer
  • State-issued ID

From an Out of State Dealer

  • Out of State Title/MSO
  • Bill of Sale
  • Odometer Statement
  • State-issued ID
  • Sales tax payment (if applicable)
  • Any other supporting documents

Moved to Mississippi from Another State?

You and any co-owner must visit our office in person. Please bring:

  • Title (if paid off and no lien)
  • Lienholder name and address (if applicable)
  • Mileage
  • State-issued ID
  • Out-of-state registration
  • Out-of-state license plate
  • One proof of residency (lease, deed, or utility bill)

Purchased a Vehicle from an Individual?

You and any co-owner must come in person with:

  • Vehicle title
  • State-issued ID
  • One proof of residency (lease, deed, or utility bill)
